FORT WAYNE, Ind. (FORT WAYNE'S NBC) - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants announce Tom Hankins as the team's 7th head coach in program history.

Hankins was Player Development Assistant Coach for the Pacers just last year, building chemistry with Brian Bowen II and Naz Mitrou-Long.

Both players return to the 2020-21 Mad Ants roster.

Hankins was the head coach at the University of Central Oklahoma, before joining the Indiana Pacers staff in 2019.

He was also apart of six 20-win seasons, three NCAA Tournament bids and two NIT births.

On Monday, Fort Wayne also drafted two players in the second round to add to their 10-man roster.

With the second pick of the second round, Mad Ants select Syracuse grad and former Toronto two-way player Oshae Brissett. He averaged just over 15 points a game last season.

A few picks later the Mad Ants pick up Quincy McKnight, a player from Seton Hall, who finished his last year leading the Big East in assists.

The Mad Ants schedule is set to begin in February in the Disney bubble.
