Coroner ID’s woman found in house after fire

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - The Allen County Coroner's Office has identified a woman who was found in a house after a fire on West Washington Center Road.

On December 14, the corner's office was contacted in reference to a fire investigation in the 2700 block of West Washington Center Road.

According to reports, a family friend entered the residence regarding a welfare check.

After entry, reports say the family friend found obvious fire damage and an unresponsive woman.

After the notification of the next of kin, the woman has been identified to be 26-year-old Katilin Curran of Fort Wayne.

At this time, the cause and manner of death is pending as the investigation continues.

The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Fire Department Investigation Division, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
