Skies will remain clear tonight with overnight lows dipping into the upper 20s. Sunday will start out with sunny skies and build in on cloud cover ahead of our next potential weather system. Highs will reach into the upper 40s.
Snow is likely for Monday. While this system is 48 hours out, there are many uncertainties with the heaviest snow totals across NE Indiana. Many weather models shift the heaviest snow into NW Ohio, but a few outliers notice some upper air disturbances that could shift some of the heavier snow into NE Indiana. We're keeping a close eye on this as we approach the end of the weekend.
Despite the uncertainties with the placement of the heaviest snow, we do see agreement in other factors with this system. Snowfall will trend heavier the farther east you live. The heaviest lake enhanced snowfall should stick outside of NE Indiana, with several inches of accumulation possible closer to La Porte. Winds will pick up throughout the day Monday and could lead to some visibility issues especially where heavier snow bands set up. The majority of snow will fall Monday before tapering off early Tuesday.
