FORT WAYNE, Ind. (FORT WAYNE'S NBC) - The University of Saint Francis limits spectators for the upcoming basketball season.

The school will only allow student-athletes' parents and family, USF students, faculty and staff.

"We put these limitations in place to continue to be proactive in reducing the chances of further spread of COVID-19."

"We hope the situation will improve over the course of the season to allow for additional spectators, but we must err on the side of caution," Per release, USF Director of Athletics, Mike McCaffrey said.

Saint Francis says the school will monitor the COVID-19 infection rates and adjust spectator rules, if necessary.
