CORONER’S REPORT: Toddler identified in suspicious death Thursday afternoon

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - The Allen County Coroner's Office has identified the toddler who died Thursday afternoon.

According to autopsy records, the toddler was found unresponsive in an apartment in the 4300 block of Joshua Lane.

The toddler has been identified to be 19-month-old Elias Paez of Fort Wayne.

The Allen County Coroner's Office has yet to release the cause of death and how the toddler died, citing pending results.

Police call the death of 19-month-old Elias Paez "suspicious."

According to police, late Thursday evening they apprehended 23-year-old Trevon Bishop for questioning related to the toddler's death. 

Authorities say he has an outstanding warrant for carrying a handgun without a permit.

23-year-old Trevon Bishop is said to be the toddler's father.

At this time, there are no charges against Bishop related to little Elias's death.
