FORT WAYNE, Ind. (FORT WAYNE'S NBC) - Homestead, last year's sectional champions, bring back talent for the upcoming season.

Ayanna Patterson, the best wing in the class of 2022, according to ESPN, explains her outlook for her upcoming junior season.

"Just being able to control what you can control, so I mean whatever games we can play is an opportunity within itself. We just have to prove ourselves in whichever games we play," Patterson said.

Head Coach, Rod Parker says he prides his program on rolling with the challenges that come their way during the year.

"Being able to handle adversity is something we always strive for in our program, the way we schedule our games, the way we travel. This year is going to be no different," Parker said.

Homestead's first game is on the road at Carmel Nov. 7th.

Last year, the Spartans slipped past the Greyhounds, 47-46
