“Road Rally BINGO” to benefit St. Joseph Missions Women’s Shelter Oct. 24

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) — Next Saturday, St. Joseph Missions is hosting a unique bingo event to raise money for their women's shelter.

The group is holding the "Road Rally BINGO" event from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on October 24, National Make a Difference Day.

“Making a difference is a hallmark of our community, so we picked the ideal day for our event,” Executive Director Lisa Fabian said. “BINGO players will make a two-fold difference: first by raising funds to create the first 24/7/365 emergency shelter expressly for single homeless women; and then by helping us thank the local businesses who are supporting our shelter, despite the daunting economic challenges ensuing from the pandemic. Our sponsors see the urgency of our mission and have become our champions.”

Officials say the "Road Rally BINGO" matches a list of sponsors, including several local businesses, to clues on a bingo card.

To earn a square, travel to the business matching the clue. You can take a picture there and post it on their Facebook and Instagram pages for a "Double BINGO".

When players complete a "Double BINGO", they can head to the finish line where their card will be entered into one of several prize drawings.

To get involved, you can download a digital bingo card here for $20 each.

All proceeds will be used to support renovations at the St. Joseph Missions Women's Shelter on Lake Avenue.
