FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) — Crews say four people were rescued from a house fire on the southwest side of town Thursday morning.

The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to the 3800 block of Chancery Place around 4:50 a.m. Thursday.

When crews arrived, they searched for victims and found four people inside the home.

One adult and three children were rescued and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Officials could not advise on the extent of their injuries.

It took around 20 minutes for firefighters to get the fire in the living room under control, a release sent by FWFD says.

At the time of this report, the fire is under investigation.
