DEVELOPING: Council votes 5-to-3 to investigate Electric Works matters

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - The Fort Wayne City Council voted Tuesday night to advance a measure that would launch an investigation into the withdrawal of public backing for the Electric Works redevelopment project.

Council members voted 5-to-3 to support the ordinance, with one member absent from the meeting.

Upon final approval -- expected in one week -- the legislation would form a subcommittee that would have 60 days to report back to the Council with its findings.

This is a developing story. Stay with Fort Wayne's NBC for updates.
