Fort Wayne’s NBC named finalist for Indiana ‘Station of the Year’

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - The Indiana Broadcasters Association on Thursday named Fort Wayne's NBC a finalist in its annual "Station of the Year" competition.

It means Fort Wayne's NBC will be considered for the top honor, which the station won one year ago.

It will compete with its sister station in Fort Wayne, ABC21, and with the ABC affiliate for Evansville, WEHT.

In an online video presentation, two Fort Wayne's NBC entries also were named finalists in the category of News Feature/Use of Medium.

Those entries are:

Fort Wayne's NBC competes in Television Market 2, a classification inclusive of every Indiana commercial and public television station outside of Indianapolis.

Winners will be announced on Oct. 22.

At that time, Fort Wayne's NBC anchor Linda Jackson will be inducted into the Indiana Broadcast Pioneers Richard M. Fairbanks Hall of Fame. Her selection was announced earlier this year.
