COVID-19 concerns force the Fort Wayne Pride Festival to cancel the 2020 event

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - According to Fort Wayne Pride Officials, the 2020 Pride Festival has been canceled due to COVID-19 concerns in the community.

Fort Wayne Pride Officials made the announcement on Wednesday to their followers via Facebook.

The Pride Festival was set for July 24-25, 2020, but due to the growing concerns of COVID-19 in the area, officials postponed the event to September 25-26, 2020.

After Wednesday's announcement, the event has been canceled in entirety.

Organizers said they will be working to offer smaller events in the coming months. 

Fort Wayne Pride features a parade, music, vendors, food trucks, drinks, and more downtown.

Next years Pride Festival is set for July 23-24, 2021.
