FORT WAYNE, Ind. (FORT WAYNE'S NBC) - High school football takes the field across Northeast Indiana this week for summer workouts.
After a dozen straight years at regionals, Snider fell short, losing in its sectional opener, 42-31, against Carroll.
The Panthers are eager to pounce back into game action, this fall, not just because of restlessness from quarantine, but an urge to exact vengeance on the Summit Athletic Conference.
Now, united as a team, once again, Snider head coach Kurt Tippmann is just happy to have his guys back.
"The first thing is it's just enjoyable to see them and see their faces," Tippmann said at the team's first summer workout.
"It's been four months since we've been able to work them and just be around them."
Snider starts off its season hosting North Side on August 21, before a first road matchup at Carroll on August 28.
