Firefighters respond to house fire late Friday night in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - Firefighters responded to a house fire late Friday night.

Officials with the Fort Wayne Fire Department said their crews responded to a house located at 4005 Oliver Street around 11:36 p.m. on Friday.

They said no one was inside the house during the fire.

Fire officials said firefighters rescued one pet from inside the house.

Firefighters said the second floor of the house caught fire and that the house was heavily damaged by fire, water and smoke.

Fire crews had the fire under control within 20 minutes.

No injuries were reported.
