Just after 2:30 Saturday Richards came out of her house to address protesters. She invited protesters to stand on her sidewalk and have a conversation.
Several people asked questions regarding her process to arrest protesters and what she will be doing next.
Victoria Hardy says she was arrested the second day of protesters, and she says she was surprised Richards came outside to talk with them.
"I didn't think I was going to see her, I did not expect it," Hardy said. "It was very surprising that she actually talked."
Hardy says they specifically want misdemenor charges dropped such as obstructing traffic.
"She did acknowledge that if they caught police doing things that they would also prosecute them too," Hardy said.
Richards says she is setting up a website for protesters to submit videos and photo evidence to help her with her process.
Before she went back in her house, she told protesters they can continue protesting on the sidewalks and other public spaces in front of her home.
