Boys missing out of Ohio located in Garrett campground

OHIO (Fort Wayne’s NBC) — UPDATE: The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department said they have found the two missing boys at a Garrett campground.

Police say they received a call from Indian Springs Campground management about a vehicle and kids matching the description from the Silver Alert.

Officers found the boys in a camper and reunited them with their mother.

The father, James Shaffer, was arrested and charged with two counts of interference with custody in violation of court order.

The Indiana State Police have issued a Silver Alert for two young boys who are believed to be in danger in the company of their father.

Officers say 7-year-old Ace Shaffer and 5-year-old Cruz Shaffer are missing out of Bryan, Ohio, and were last seen the afternoon of May 29.

Police say Ace is 3' 10", weighs around 40 pounds, and has brown hair with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue and red Under Armor t-shirt, Batman sandals, and blue jeans.

Cruz is also 3' 10", weighs around 40 pounds, and has brown hair with brown eyes. Officers say he was last seen wearing a blue shirt with a dinosaur eating an X-Box controller, blue jeans, and Spiderman sandals.

The boys are believed to be with their father, 30-year-old James Shaffer, and are believed to be in danger.

Shaffer is described by police as being 5 '5", 140 pounds, and has brown hair with brown eyes.

Police say all three were last seen in a black 2003 to 2005 Chevrolet Suburban with a possible Indiana license plate D349RX.
