Woman charged after driving truck into Kokomo protesters

KOKOMO, Ind. (WTHR) — The Howard County prosecutor is charging Christa Redman, 32, after she allegedly drove her pickup into a group of protesters.

The incident was caught on cell phone video by Olivia St. Clair and it shows other cars stopped at an intersection as pedestrians cross.

That's when the pickup driver goes around the stopped vehicles and hits into the protesters.

The Kokomo Police Department tells 13News two females had minor injuries and were treated and released right there.

NOTE: Audio was removed from the video due to music and language.

Redman is being charged with leaving the scene of an accident, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, and disorderly conduct.

She has turned herself in on the charges and was given a $10,000 bond.
