FWSC youth soccer resumes practices

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (FORT WAYNE'S NBC) - Sports organizations step back on the field, as Indiana continues to open with new safety regulations.

The Fort Wayne Sport Club's youth soccer teams resume practices this week, but rules to keep in mind.

There's to be no physical contact, coaches must wear face masks, and everything is sanitized before and after use.

The rules make a desired normal practice out of reach, but the kids are just as excited to be back outside, doing what they love.

"It's great because we're losing interest, being stuck inside, and a lot of these kids just want to be out here playing soccer, so it's great to be out here and take this first step," Carter Vanstone said.

"We've all got to start back, like we all start somewhere at the beginning of everything. It's been really good. We all need to take our first steps into getting back into a normal practice in a sense," Alec A'Hearn said.

The sport club will move forward with games in June.
