The last week, quite, a whirlwind for Grace soccer, as the men ran 168 straight hours in an effort to raise funds against COVID-19.
"The comment we kept getting from the guys was: it feels so good to run for something other than yourself," Grace soccer head coach Aaron Patrick said, following the conlusion of the week.
"The running has been the easiest part because they've been running for someone else and for other people who are trying to help us."
The Lancers have raised over $12,000 via their GoFundMe.com page. Search 'Grace Men's Soccer' to contribute.
What was initially a 24-hour idea turned into a 48-hour run, which eventually turned into a week-long event of running.
"Once we passed that 10 grand we're like well now we have it, let's keep going," Grace defenseman Cole Voss said.
