FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - Linda Jackson and Tom Powell are doing their part to practice social distancing.  You'll only see one of them at the anchor desk in the coming days while the other works from home. Together they're presenting "Stories to Share."  They're looking for the little things happening in Fort Wayne that are going a long way to bring some happiness during what is otherwise a tough time.

Monday Tom noticed a Facebook Post from his old neighborhood in Fort Wayne.  The Historic Southwood Park's page shared an uplifting post about a birthday celebration. In the pictures and video you can see Christopher Erb with his son Nicholas on his shoulders.

"We were completely overwhelmed at the amount of love shown to this little guy today! What a special, special birthday parade," Haley Erb wrote in the post. "Thank you so much to all who drove by and a huge shout-out to Clayton Dean and all of his FWPD friends for leading the way! Nicky is obsessed with police! It was all perfect! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!"

"It's our son's fifth birthday," Christopher says. "We wanted to have a party for him and we couldn't do that. Haley saw this on Facebook and it just spiraled from there. It just shows what a great neighborhood we live in and how great our family and friends are. It was such a moving thing," he says. "It meant so much to Nicholas and our family."
