Congressman Banks traveling to Washington to vote on coronavirus aid package

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - Congressman Jim Banks is traveling to Washington so he'll be able to cast his vote in person on the coronavirus aid package.

"This is the biggest vote many of us serving in Congress have ever cast. $2.2 trillion dollars. None of us could have imagined a few months ago what we are currently going through," Congressman Banks says in a Facebook post.

I'm on my way to Washington, D.C. right now to cast my vote on the so-called "Phase Three" coronavirus aid...

Banks says "the bill is by no means perfect" but he does plan to vote for it when the time comes. "All in all, it accomplishes one important thing: It keeps the lights on in America," he writes.
