Waffle House closes 400+ restaurants amid coronavirus concerns

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - Management with Waffle House said they have closed more than 400 restaurants.

According to the company's website, Waffle House has been operating since 1955. The restaurant is known for serving breakfast, lunch and dinner at all times of the day and night.

Company management made the announcement about the closures on Wednesday.

Officials said the company has closed 418 restaurants across the country and that 1,574 locations are still open.

Company leaders shared the company had closed 365 locations on Tuesday, March 24th.

On March 15th, management shared the company was taking additional steps to keep their customers and associates safe.
