Fishers IKEA donates 10,000 face masks to Hamilton County Health Department

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - Officials with the Hamilton County Health Department said the IKEA store in Fishers, Indiana donated 10,000 face masks to the department.

Officials with the Hamilton County Health Department made the announcement on Tuesday.

The IKEA in Fishers is stepping up to help with the shortage of protective masks for health care workers. The store donated 10,000 masks to the Hamilton County Health Department.

They said the Fishers IKEA donated 10,000 surgical masks to the department.

Several health officials shared that face masks for hospital workers are running low.

Health officials said the masks will be distributed to health care and public safety workers in Hamilton County.

IKEA announced on March 18th that their facilities across the United States would temporarily close.
