The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo looking for summer help

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - Need a job this summer? The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo will host a job fair to fill more than 100 seasonal positions.

The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo is northeast Indiana’s largest tourist attraction, hosting more than 600,000 guests annually. The Zoo was voted Indiana’s #1 “Gotta-Do Summer Attraction” and is consistently named one of the nation’s Top Ten Zoos for Kids by national media outlets.

On Saturday, March 7 the Zoo's food and retail partner, will accept applications to serve the 600,000 annual Zoo guests.

Job openings include:

  • Zoo Education Interpreters
  • Zoo Camp Counselors
  • Front Gate Associates
  • Food Concessions
  • Gift Shop
  • Operations Support

These temporary positions hours range from 15 to 40 per week during the Zoo season (mid-April through mid-October).

If interested, applicants should download applications in advance at their website and bring the completed application to the job fair.

The Job fair will be held at the Zoo Education Center on Franke Park drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
