Area physician accused in fatal Bluffton crash faces additional charge, bonds out of jail

BLUFFTON, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) -- An additional charge of driving left of center was added to a list of several other charges that a Bluffton doctor faces in a fatal Wells County crash that happened last month.

Police arrested 61 year old Dr. Russel Legreid II, of Roanoke, Friday and charged him with 4 felony counts including causing death while operating a vehicle with an alcohol blood level county of .08 or above in connection with a morning crash on January 10 in Bluffton that claimed the life of a 2 month old. The baby's father and 2 siblings were hurt in the crash.

Fort Wayne's NBC News has learned that after Legreid II was arrested and sent to the Allen County Jail Friday night, he was transferred over the weekend to the Wells County jail, where the crash took place, and bonded out of jail.
