Police looking for person of interest in Friday night fatal stabbing in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) — UPDATE: Police have arrested the person of interest in a fatal stabbing.


We have new information in a fatal stabbing that happened Friday night in Fort Wayne.

Police say they're looking for a person of interest named Michael Foster.

He's a male black, in his 50s, about 6 feet tall and 210 pounds.

Police urge you to call 911 if you have information that will help them locate Foster.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) -- Fort Wayne police are looking for the person who stabbed and killed a man Friday evening.

Police received the call just after 6 p.m. from East Central Towers in the 900 block of East Washington Boulevard, east of downtown Fort Wayne.

Paramedics rushed the man, who had life-threatening injuries, to the hospital. Police tell Fort Wayne's NBC News the man later died at the hospital.

Investigators say there was some kind of disturbance that led to the stabbing.

Police say the person responsible ran from the scene and hasn't yet been located.

The name of the victim won't be released until after family members are notified.

Police are asking for help from the public in locating the suspect.
