Fort Wayne, In. (FORT WAYNE'S NBC) -- Some employees had to be evacuated from the Fort Wayne General Motors Assembly plant Tuesday afternoon.
Company spokesperson, Stephanie Jengten, tells Fort Wayne's NBC News that several employees smelled a foul odor in what she called "sporadic areas" of the plant, and those areas were evacuated.
She says outside investigators inspected the building and conducted air quality tests.
After a time, people were allowed back to the affected areas, and production resumed at the plant.
