Woman stabbed Wednesday morning identified

Fort Wayne, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - A woman has now been identified in a fatal stabbing at the Villages of Hanna Apartments Tuesday night.

According to the Allen County Coroners office, the woman has been identified as 39-year-old Stacey Jennings of Fort Wayne.

The official cause of death is multiple stab wounds and the manner of the death is ruled as a homicide.

Fort Wayne's NBC recently reported Police got the call around 3:04 am Wednesday and were dispatched to 1311 Greene Street. When they got to the scene, the woman was suffering from stab wounds and was pronounced dead by paramedics.

Jennings' death is the 25th homicide in Allen County in 2019.

The stabbing remains under investigation.
