Fort Wayne, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - A four-car crash, police say, left one man suffering life-threatening injuries and three others injured early Sunday morning.

At around 3:51 a.m., police responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection of East Coliseum Blvd. and North Clinton Street.

Officers say they arrived on scene and saw the crash involved a pick-up truck, an SUV and two passenger vehicles.

Authorities say the pick-up truck was traveling eastbound on Coliseum Blvd. and failed to stop for the red traffic light at Clinton Street.

The pick-up truck entered the intersection and struck the SUV and a passenger car that was traveling northbound on Clinton Street.

The pick-up truck continued through the intersection and struck the second passenger car that was westbound on Coliseum Blvd. stopped at the red traffic light.

Paramedics transported the four people, who were in the SUV, to a local hospital.

According to officials, a male who was seated in the backseat of the SUV was suffering life-threatening injuries.

Police say that the other people involved in the accidents had minor injuries and refused medical treatment.

Investigators reported alcohol appears to be a contributing factor in the crash on behalf of the driver of the pick-up truck.

This incident remains under investigation.
