Family of woman killed in drunk driving crash files wrongful death lawsuit

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) — A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against a local night club by a family who claims a bartender there over-served their loved one who later died in a drunk driving crash.

27-year old Adre’Onna Milligan died in a crash on Production Road in December of 2018 after spending several hours at Cover Girls night club.

The lawsuit filed on Monday said Milligan had a Blood Alcohol Content level of .302, nearly four times the legal limit at the time of the crash.

The family claims that bartenders should not have continued to serve Milligan once they saw she was intoxicated.

According to the lawsuit, the family is suing for burial and funeral expenses as well as the loss of Milligan’s “love and companionship”.
