Cold Friday, warmer weekend, snow Monday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) ▬  Friday the cold air only gets even colder with a high of 35°F leaving us nearly 20°F below normal. It will at least be mostly sunny.Wind chills will be into the 20s during the afternoon.

Tonight clouds increase with a low of 24°F.

Slightly warmer weekend with 42°F for a high Saturday and partly cloudy. Sunday 47°F with more clouds along with rain and possible overnight. A strong cold will move in late Sunday night into early Monday morning.

We are giving Monday for Veterans Day a Winter Impact Number of 1 out of 5 on our exclusive scale as confidence in the forecast builds. At least a dusting to 2″ of snow is possible.  Maybe more, hard to say with confidence this far out. You will want to check back. Snow is likely and a high of 30°F. This would be the coldest high temperature ever recorded for Veterans Day. The current record stands at 31°F set back in 1950 for the coldest high temperature.

Could have a few lake effect snow flurries flying around with more cold air.

The first three day of the new work week are not expected to get above freezing.
