Notre Dame goes down to the wire with USC, comes out a victory

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (FORT WAYNE’S NBC) – Notre Dame quarterback, Ian Book, comes to the rescue with under 4 minutes left in the game, rushing eight yards into the endzone, to give the Fighting Irish just enough to hold off a USC comeback.

Notre Dame wins a third straight game, beating USC, 30-27.

It was all defense in the first half of the game, putting pressure on the Trojans quarterback, Kedon Slovis.

In the second half, the physicality and resilience of the offense, closes the game.

Book accounts for two touchdowns, while his running back Tony Jones Jr., kept the ball moving. Jones finishes with 176 rushing yards.
