Staying warm till Saturday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (FORT WAYNE’S NBC) ▬ Tracking some patchy dense fog north of Fort Wayne into Auburn and Angola. Temps are cool into the 40s. Once the sun comes up we will quickly warm up to the 60s by lunchtime and 73°F with mostly sunny skies into the afternoon.

Tonight, clouds increase to partly cloudy skies with a low 52°F.

Thursday, temps get even warmer with a high of 75°F and partly cloudy skies.

Friday we are tracking a strong cold front that will really be changing things quickly. A few sprinkles of rain are possible Friday morning with clouds and winds increasing. Most the rain will be falling by Friday afternoon with a high of 76°F. Winds will gust up to 25 mph. Overnight Friday the strong cold front will come blowing in with winds gusting up to 35 mph. We could pick up 0.25 to 0.75 inches of rain once all is said and done.

Early Saturday morning it will still be wet and MUCH cooler with lows into the upper 30s. By the afternoon only a high of 53°F with sunshine returning. However, it will still be breezy with gusts up to 30 mph and wind chills into the 40s.

Sunday more sunshine and low 60s are on the way as the winds back off.

Monday for Columbus Day is looking pretty good, but cool with a high of 59°F.

Tuesday we are tracking more sunshine mixed with a few clouds and a high of 62°F.
