Notre Dame win home opener against New Mexico, 66-14

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (FORT WAYNE’S NBC) – Notre Dame quarterback, Ian Book throws for five touchdowns, as the Fighting Irish beat the New Mexico Lobos, 66-14.

The Notre Dame defense forces three first-half interceptions, and handed the offense the momentum.

Book mentions Kyle Hamilton’s pick six after the game.

“I think the defense kind of set it up for us, the big interception by that kid, 14. He just has a great nose for the football and the interception for a touchdown, you know, got us some great momentum,” Book said. “We were able to feed off that,” Book said.

The Irish travel to Georgia next Saturday.
