FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) — Purdue University Fort Wayne is offering a way to remember loved ones lost to suicide.
The university is hosting a candlelight ceremony Tuesday as a part of their Suicide Prevention Week events. The university hopes the event can help promote and support healing for families and friends of people who died of suicide.
That event is taking place from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Lakeside Rose Garden. Round-trip transportation is available for students from Walb Union beginning at 5:30.
The university is also hosting a mental health resource fair Tuesday. During the event, people can visit with campus and community individuals and resource sites for a variety of information. That event takes place from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
