Folks puzzled by sudden closing of ‘Yummi Bunni’

FORT WAYNE, IND. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – A downtown business that boomed when it introduced its calorie-laden ice cream-in-a-doughnut concoction has closed.

Slightly less than three years after it debuted, the doors at “The Yummi Bunni” were locked on Tuesday.

The business’ social media accounts also appeared to be offline, though a website for the treatery was still accessible Tuesday evening.

The closure appears to bring to an end a run that began with lines often stretching out the door of the Main Street establishment.

In addition to serving up calorie-heavy desserts, The Yummi Bunni had offered an “ice cream expert workshop,” where participants could “join the Yummi Bunni crew for a day by learning the science behind ice cream and creating their own ice cream treats.”
