Norwell grad VanMeter homers in second straight start for Reds

The Cincinnati Reds may have fallen to the Colorado Rockies, 12-2, but Norwell grad Josh VanMeter followed up his near-cycle performance with another home run effort, his third of the season, on Friday night.

All three of VanMeter’s home runs have come in his last four starts for the Reds.

The 24-year-old duplicated a three-hit performance, as well, upping his batting average to .297 on the season.
