2 fireworks stores hit by burglars in the last week

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) — A fireworks store owner is reeling after burglars hit two of his stores in the last week.

Tom Tracy, the owner of “Freebies Fireworks,” said burglars wiped his store off Dupont Rd. clean Monday night. According to Tracy, the thief broke in through a back door and cleared the store of nearly all of its merchandise.

Tracy said Tuesday morning’s headache isn’t a new one. Just last week he said another location was hit, with the thieves making off with at least $3,000 worth of fireworks.

According to Tracy, the Fort Wayne Police Department already has few leads.
