Mad Ants Gansey to Coach Pacers in Summer League

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (FORT WAYNE’S NBC) – For the second straight year, Mad Ants Head Coach, Steve Gansey, will coach the Indiana Pacers summer league team.

Mad Ants President, Tim Bawmann talked with Gansey about his new assignment.

“He was really excited last year and then to be back in the second year, he’s even more excited. Now he’s got a year under his belt, so he knows what to expect,” Bawmann said.

During last season, Gansey became the first Mad Ants Head Coach to reach 100 wins.

“I think it’s huge for us. It gives Coach Gansey an advantage before the season starts, to get to know some of the players that wind up here in Fort Wayne,” Bawmann said.

The MGM Resorts NBA Summer League 2019, will feature 30 NBA Teams and two international teams, China and Croatia. The 10 games will tip on July 5th and continue through July 15th at the Thomas and Mack Center and Cox Pavilion at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
