Isolated thunderstorms possible

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) ▬ Tracking mostly sunny skies today with humidity beginning to return. Heat index is forecast to reach the low 90s this afternoon with a high of 87°F, this will be the warmest day of 2019 so far. After 5 p.m. there will be a few pop up showers and thunderstorms. Most of us will remain dry, but any thunderstorms that do pop have the opportunity to turn strong. Rolling out a Thunderstorm Impact Number of 1 out of 5 on our exclusive scale at Fort Wayne’s NBC as some of the thunderstorms could have strong winds.

Tonight isolated thunderstorm chances continue until 11 p.m. with a low of 67°F and partly cloudy skies.

Thursday get even hotter with a high of 89°F, partly cloudy skies and isolated thunderstorms into the afternoon once again.

Friday will be very similar to Wednesday and Thursday with sunshine and isolated thunderstorms possible into the afternoon. We are also forecasting a high of 90°F.

Saturday and Sunday will remain hot and humid with heat indices reaching near 100°F!
