Groundbreaking initiates build-out of north side IU Health facility
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – It’s another step forward for the state’s largest health system as it expands its footprint in northeast Indiana.
The new facility is on the north side of Fort Wayne – at Stellhorn and Lahmeyer roads.
The 25-thousand square foot development is is expected to open next year.
It will offer primary care, lab services, medical imaging and urgent care for walk in patients.
IU Health Fort Wayne President Brian Bauer joined with Mayor Tom Henry, county leaders and IU Health System employees to turn the dirt and mark the start of construction.
