Ride along with us inside a B-17 at the Fort Wayne Air Show

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – About 300,000 folks will attend this weekend’s Fort Wayne Air show featuring the US Air Force Thunderbirds, air performers and interactive ground entertainment.

While many folks are excited about fighter jets, many enthusiasts make the trip to get a hands-on look at living history, like a B-17 “Flying Fortress” or a P-51 Mustang.

Older military aircraft will be on display during the airshow, and for a fee, some folks will even get the chance to take them up into the air.

Fort Wayne’s NBC got the opportunity to take a camera crew on an authentically restored bomber Friday morning.
