Man accused of raping woman at Moser Park

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – A 21-year-old Allen County man is accused of raping a woman at a park, and then taking her home only to rape her again.

Luke Moore is facing rape and sexual battery charges.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed Thursday, the alleged sexual battery happened on June 1 at Moser Park in New Haven.

Documents detail that Moore and the victim went to Moser Park, and when she went to the bathroom, Moore followed her.

That’s when the victim says Moore raped her, even though she told him no and asked him to stop.

She told police that Moore apologized and took her back to her Fort Wayne home.

The alleged abuse didn’t stop there, though.

The victim told detectives that once in her apartment, she ran to her bedroom, but Moore followed her again.

She told police he raped her for the second time despite her screaming at him to stop.

Moore ended up turning himself into the New Haven Police Department and reportedly admitted that he raped the victim, court documents detail.

Police transported him to the Fort Wayne Police Department for an interview.

That’s when Moore told detectives that everything was consensual.

When pressed about whether or not the victim told him to stop, Moore told detectives that she did tell him no, but later changed her mind.

Moore also told police that he had regrets about what happened, and now hears voices about what happens.
