What’s in the Klotz Diet?

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – The biggest piece of advice John Klotz can give you is that you are what you eat.

It’s an age-old idiom, but synthetic lubricant business owner took that to heart when he was diagnosed with cancer, and surgeries plus 6 months of chemo weren’t working.

John and his wife Hellen figured with the help of a nutritionist, they could create a diet to give his body the best chance at survival.

It’s been about 25 years since that diagnosis, and Klotz is still going strong.

So what’s in the Klotz Diet?

Carrots. Lots and lots of carrots.

Klotz drinks carrot juice with 1oz of ginger and celery nearly every day as part of his new diet.

He eats plenty of raw nuts that are refrigerated, and lots of dark, green leafy vegetables.

He also sticks to all organic foods with the lowest sugar content available.

Klotz stays away from preservatives, chemicals, dyes, colors and artificial flavorings.

Staying hydrated with filter water with a 9.5 PH balance or higher is also important to his diet.

These are just some of the stipulations for the Klotz Diet.
