New downtown hotel seeking to fill over 80 positions

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) — A new hotel in Downtown Fort Wayne is set to open in July, and they’re looking to fill over 80 positions.

The Hampton Inn and Suites Downtown is on-target to open by mid-July.

But before officials cut the ribbon, the new general manager Kevin Croy says the hotel needs a staff—and is hiring employees to fill more than 80 full- and part-time positions.

“It does include full benefits, but also if they’re looking for a part time job, to just fill in, we have that as well.” Croy said.

The hotel will host several hiring events at their hiring center, located at 301 West Jefferson Boulevard. The events are scheduled for May 15 from 4-8 p.m., and May 19 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Restaurant and bar hiring events are set for May 23 from 3-9 p.m. at the hiring center, and June 2 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and from 5-9 p.m. at Conner’s Kitchen, 1150 Harrison St.

Interested candidates can apply online or in-person at the hiring center at 301 West Jefferson Boulevard (suite #105) between 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
