FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) — Two people were arrested on drug charges Wednesday morning following a police standoff.
The Fort Wayne Police Department said their Vice and Narcotics Units were assisted by the Emergency Services Team to serve a warrant on two subjects in the 800 block of Columbia Avenue around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
When police arrived and attempted to locate the wanted subjects, they refused to exit and stayed inside the residence.
Officers say they then used gas to get the suspects to exit the home, and were able to arrest them without incident. Police identified the two as 23-year-old Matthew Martin and 40-year-old Eva Tarvin.
Martin was arrested on counts of dealing methamphetamine and on the outstanding warrant for non-compliance and possession of methamphetamine. Tarvin was arrested on two counts of dealing methamphetamine.
