Cougars take doubleheader against Goshen

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (FORT WAYNE’S NBC) – The Saint Francis softball team put three wins together, after beating Goshen in back-to-back games on Friday. in the first game of the doubleheader, the Cougars had to overcome a 3-1 deficit in the first game, but found their bats. Lizzie Meyer added an crucial single, that scored a run and tied the game at three. In the bottom of the fourth inning, Elandra Shafer hit a ball that dropped into left field, which brought in another run. The Cougars beat Goshen in the first game, 7-6.

In the second game, Saint Francis edged Goshen by a small margin. The final score was 5-4.
