Fort Wayne, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – Average temperatures for the start of April are in the mid 50s. This April 1st will be colder than the norm. After an unseasonably chilly weekend, the numbers do start to bounce back up though. Expect mostly sunny conditions throughout Monday. We’ll top out in the mid to upper 40s during the afternoon with light southwest winds.
Another 10° or so jump in temperatures is in Tuesday’s forecast. That will put temperatures right around average for this time of year. More clouds start to build in, but it will remain dry. The clouds stick around into Wednesday. Expect temperatures near 60° though by then!
Rain chances increase into Thursday as a low moves through from the southwest. Those showers could linger into Friday, but even warmer temperatures are expected after it gets out of the area. By next weekend, some of the warmest temperatures so far this year are possible. Models even bring the potential for some upper 60s and low 70s.
