Maggard Dances in March

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (FORT WAYNE’S NBC) – Former Canterbury basketball player, Darby Maggard lead Belmont to an Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Championship. The victory sends the Bruins to the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament for the fourth straight year.

Maggard is one of the best shooters to pass through the Belmont women’s basketball program. She tallied her 2,000th career point in the OVC semifinal game against Tennessee Tech, becoming just the 19th player to do so in conference history. But what’s even more impressive, is her shooting from behind the arc. Maggard is just the fifth player in NCAA D-1 history to reach 400 career made 3-pointers.
