Indiana Tech prepares for NAIA Tournament

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (FORT WAYNE’S NBC) – The Indiana Tech men’s basketball team traveled to South Dakota on Sunday, in search of a NAIA National Championship Tournament first round win. The Warriors will match up with Spring Arbor at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

“They are a tough team, they move the ball really well. I think they had a guy out early for them, who is back now. I know they have been playing well, just like we have. I”m looking forward to it. I think it will be a tough match up,” Indiana Tech guard, Mitch Morken said.

The Indiana Tech women’s program will also play the first round of the NAIA National Championship Tournament this week. The Warriors try to keep their record season intact against West Virginia Tech at 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

“They are very active. They do a good job cutting to the basket and coming off high ball screens. Defensively, we will just have to hone in on really just playing characteristics and not giving up layups,” Jessie Biggs said.
