Fort Wayne, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – For the first day of March, temperatures will get right around 40° for afternoon highs. Mostly cloudy conditions and light winds are expected.
Saturday remains very similar to today, but likely a couple degrees cooler.
The big focus of the forecast is around the Sunday potential for snow. Weather models bring the most accumulation to the south. In Fort Wayne, it will be a glancing hit, with perhaps half an inch to an inch or so of accumulation. Towards Grant, Jay, Blackford, Adams, and Wells County, those totals could be slightly higher. To the north, not much, if any accumulation is expected.
After that, really cold temperatures for early March are expected. Monday and Tuesday will come with highs around 20°, which is a little over 20° below average. A slow warm up back into the 30s is forecast through the end of next week.
